American Ouartersawn Series™
Firebird Industries' American Quartersawn Series™ represents a significant improvement in the quality of American hardwood flooring. Firebird quarter cuts these familiar woods, using a time-honored technique to extract the most best wood from the lumber. Here is what results:
INCREASED DURABILITY: These materials are more resistant to high heel traffic because the floor surface is along the edge of the grain.
INCREASED STABILITY: The potential for expansion and/or contraction is greatly reduced by quartersawing.
INCREASED BEAUTY: The quartersawn cut brings out each wood's natural beauty and figuring. This prized feature is why the quartersawn cut is so highly valued by furniture and cabinet makers.
